The main room is dedicated to Piazza della Bollente, the centre of the town since its foundation. It contains the reconstruction of the great Roman fountain made of grey marble, belonging to the Roman thermal complex. In the same room one can see the mosaic dedication made by the authorities entrusted with the construction. Excavations of public and private buildings yielded a considerable amount of marble and terracotta building material, sherds of sculptures, marble house furniture and a sherd of mosaic bearing an inscription. Other remarkable items are the rich tombs found in via Alessandria, furnished with strigili of silver plated bronze engraved with images of hoplites, and glass vessels one of which, a rhyton, hints to the importance of thermal waters.
